3 Pit Bulls Need Homes After Being Rescued In Ontario
Three Pit Bulls have been brought to the Jefferson County SPCA shelter in Watertown from Ontario, Canada.
Pit Bulls have been banned in the province since 2005, and when shelters in Ontario have Pit Bulls, they’re required to either put them down or transport them out of Ontario.
SPCA employee Lydia Villafranco said she’s glad they were able to rescue these three dogs.
“It breaks my heart to see them in cages, but I’m glad that they’ll get good homes here and they can be adopted out,” Villafranco said.
The dogs are 2, 5, and 8 years old.
Two of them will be ready for adoption starting next Tuesday, the other still needs to be spayed before she can leave the shelter.
